- Created control panel graphics for new “talk back” options.
- Designed a feedback process to gather input from faculty and students.
Furniture Updates
- Began transitioning accommodation furniture management to LCE in collaboration with SLDS and the Registrar.
- Cleared and refreshed 318 classrooms, replacing broken furniture and removing unused items.
- Introduced a new labeling system to clearly identify accommodation furniture in classrooms.
- Created a digital form for accommodation requests, streamlining processes and improving tracking.
- Established a centralized storage location to expedite furniture deployment.
- Identified gaps in the current process and are developing a proposal to ensure equitable accommodations university-wide.
January 2025-June 2025
Technology Enhancements
- Currently in the final stages of creating instructions and signage related to the assistive listening solution being used in large lecture spaces. This will officially roll out in the fall with Speech and Hearing and Student Life Disability Services (SLDS) referring students to this resource.
Furniture Updates
- The furniture accommodation request form was completed and piloted with Student Life Disability Services (SLDS) over the summer.
- We have inventoried furniture, removed old and broken items, augmented the pool, all labeling has been updated and applied, the Caldwell room has been prepped for storage, and deployments are now being managed from that space. We are pleased to report that Student Life Disability Services (SLDS) is extremely happy with the new process.
