January 2025 to June 2025

  • Nearly 2,700 university devices (such as staff computers) have now been successfully moved to the Shared Directory and Endpoint Services (SDES) platform, helping provide a more consistent and secure experience across departments.
  • Almost 3,000 devices are now being managed through SDES tools that help keep systems up to date and functioning efficiently, with another 3,500 scheduled to migrate soon. This helps reduce downtime and ensures users have the latest tools and protections in place.
  • Behind the scenes, we’re continuing to transition key university systems (including servers and applications) to SDES to simplify management and improve reliability across the board.
  • New Administrative accounts (A-accounts) now being created in SDES Active Directory (OSUAD) and majority of A-account holders have completed process to create A-accounts
  • Developed solution to collect and process endpoint logs for ingest into Splunk dashboards to allow greater visibility and risk management across all SDES consumers; moving to production early July
