Accomplishments

Formed working groups and held kick-off meetings with stakeholders to align goals and processes.
Developed an annual reporting tool using Qualtrics, with training provided during the November 2024 Accessibility Coordinators meeting.
Published new accessibility guides between October 2024 and January 2025 to support inclusive digital practices.

- Focus communications and training on a select set of core accessibility skills
- Incorporate 3Rs (Retire, Replace, Remediate) into processes for reviewing digital content
- Purchase a centrally funded LMS accessibility scanning tool for CarmenCanvas
- Provide comprehensive training for faculty and instructional staff
- Identify high impact courses to prioritize remediation efforts

- Implement progress measures using automated accessibility scanning tools for websites and CarmenCanvas content

Finalized RFP for approved PDF Remediation Suppliers
Launched Digital Accessibility: Title II and You website to provide a central location to support the working group’s recommendations.
Completed a PDF Decision Tree to guide users through the process of identifying alternative formats to use to avoid the extensive time and cost needed to remediate inaccessible PDFs.
OTDI Leadership and Compliance set a new Digital Accessibility Strategy
