Accomplishments

July 2024 to December 2024

  • Convened a working group to enhance authentication processes and reduce login prompts for key applications.
  • Drafted documentation to guide new application requests under updated authentication policies.
  • Established processes for accessing site-licensed software, improving usability and compliance. 

 

January 2025 to June 2025

  • The working group has begun meeting with application owners to make it easier for users to sign in to key tools by reducing the number of login prompts. So far, three applications have been updated to use your Microsoft 365 account for access, and we're continuing to identify more that could benefit from this simplified sign-in experience. 
  • The team developing the new application intake process has finalized clear, step-by-step guidance to ensure that any new tools brought into the university follow updated authentication practices. This will help ensure smoother, more secure access across the board.
